2nd marking period (11-20)

                                                                      11: Talent Show Flyer

I created a Gradient background using Linear gradient using Photoshop. For the title, Talent Show, of my flyer, I used the "Glass text" effect. For the second text, I used the "Plastic Text" effect. The last text effect i used was the "Photo-filled" effect. Then, I added Graphics to make my flyer look better.

12: Texture Added via Layer

From Google, I chose a texture design and a suit and opened it on Adobe Photoshop. Following instructions from the tutorial website, I was able to apply the texture onto my suit to give it a new design. Finally, i made the document into a canvas size to create a before and after image.

13: Poster Mimic

I opened a document on Photoshop and created a Linear Gradient background. The original poster used a solid background. Second, I got a picture of fries and a picture of fruits off the internet. Using the Magnetic Lasso Tool, I deleted the French fries off the image and replaced it with the image of the fruits. I used the outer glow in the blending options to make my image stand out. Finally, I placed information about fruits on my poster.

14a: Displacement Logo        I used Displacement Maps to create a painted effect look on a brick wall, using Photoshop. Adding a blur filter to the brick layer and changing the opacity of the layer, I was able to create this image of the Miami Heat logo.

14b: Face Displacement     Using Displacement maps, I was able to do a selfie "painted" effect. After placing the flag over the picture, I used the eraser tool to delete any parts of Lebron's face that I did not want painted. Doing this, I was able to create a 3-D effect.

15: Smart Filter Car

Using smart filter I created a motion blur. Smart filter was used because it is an easier way to apply filters to an image, it's quicker than regular filters. Using the mask thumbnail and the brush tool, I applied the blur to the section on the image desired.

16: Masking an Area for Photoshop

Using marquees or the lasso tool takes a longer time to select the exact portion. With Quick masking, you can just color over the part you want to select. I was able to change the color of the windows from this image. I selected the window portion, then I used the paint bucket tool to fill in red as the color.

 17: Soft Skin Filter

First I changed the image to Smart Filter. Then I added the Gaussian Blur Filter to the image. Then I selected the screen view. Then I added a layer mask and using the Brush Tool I selected the airbrush thumbnail to paint over the important features of the image.

18: USB Drive                    Using Adobe Illustrator I was able to create a USB Drive. I used the different shape tools to create the shape of my Drive. I also used Gradient Fill to add the colors i wanted my USB drive to be.

19a: Basic Drawing and Shape Tool

I was able to write out my name using "Bubble Letters", using Adobe Illustrator. I used the different shapes and line tools to spell out my last name. Then, I used the 'unite' tool to merge all the shapes into creating each letter of my last name. After writing my name I used the same tools plus, the warp and the wrinkle tools to design my last name.

19b: Pathfinder Minus Front and Divide Practice

I practiced using the Minus Front and Divide tool. I made different shapes using these tools.

Day 3: I created and accessorized all of the buttons on my phone; adding symbols.(Step 15-23)

Day  4: I created the number buttons for the phone. I also added the numbers, letters and symbols for each number. (Step 24-28)

Day 5: I created the receiver , by using the Gradient Mesh tool and the speaker of my phone, to finish my phone.(Step 29-33)

                           REFLECTION SUMMARY

In marking period 2, I learned how to create a Flyer out of scratch using the 5 W's and Adobe Photoshop. I also designed my own suit by adding a texture layer to a suit image I found. Using Photoshop, I was able to mimic a Food Bank poster and design my own. I learned how to use Face Displacement to apply a flag painted affected on any image. On Photoshop, I was able to use Motion Blur to give an image a 3D moving effect. Quick Masking was an easy way to apply an effect, like different tinted windows, on any image. Soft Filter, is a good filter tool that keeps focus on main features of an image but gives the rest of the image a outstanding view and a nice glowing touch. I also learned how to use Adobe Illustrator to create realistic items like a USB and a cordless phone. I learned how to use the different Pathfinder tools like "Unite" , "Divide" and
"Minus front" to create images out of simple shapes.
